Stolen Toyota Land Cruiser V8 recovered on N1 Limpopo
A Toyota Land Cruiser V8 valued at approximately R1.9 million, which was stolen in Bedfordview, Gauteng, in February 2026, was recovered travelling along the N1 in Limpopo.
Police received information from a vehicle tracking company on Saturday, 01 March 2026, at about 10:30 regarding the vehicle travelling along the N1.

They immediately operationalised the information and intercepted the vehicle at Middlefontein North, outside Modimolle. Upon inspection and circulation, the vehicle was positively confirmed to have been reported stolen.
The driver was arrested on the scene and detained at Modimolle SAPS. The vehicle, valued at approximately R1.9 million, was successfully recovered.

The suspect, Sipho Dlamini [30] appeared before the Modimolle Magistrate’s Court today, Monday, 02 March 2026, on a charge of possession of a suspected stolen vehicle. He was remanded in custody until 06 March 2026 for a formal bail application.
Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has commended the members for their swift response and effective collaboration, which led to the recovery of the high-value vehicle and the arrest of the suspect.
