Several people feared dead in N1 Limpopo bus crash
Several people are feared dead following a horrific bus accident on the N1 near Ingwe Lodge, outside Louis Trichardt in Limpopo on Thursday. The road is completely closed in both directions.
The bus reportedly veered off the road and fell into a ditch at the same location where a previous horrific bus incident occurred.

According to the Department of Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo, the exact cause of the accident remains unknown at this stage.
However, it is clear that there are multiple fatalities and injuries. A competent authority will confirm the numbers in due course. Emergency services are currently on the scene.

The bus was travelling from Gauteng to Zimbabwe, and it has not yet been established whether all passengers were bound for Zimbabwe.
The vehicle remains in the ditch, making it difficult to determine the exact number of occupants at the time of the incident. However, the road remains closed to traffic.
MEC for Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo, Violet Mathye, will visit the accident scene on Monday morning.
Motorists are advised to use the following alternative routes while the road remains closed: Driving from Makhado [Witvlag], turn right onto the R523. From Musina, turn left onto the R523 at Willysport; from Siloam, turn right onto the R523.
