FlySafair announces direct flight from Limpopo to Cape Town
Low-cost airline FlySafair has announced a new direct flight route connecting Hoedspruit in Limpopo and Cape Town, with fares starting from just R1 570 one way.
FlySafair confirmed on Monday that, starting from 2 October 2025, they will operate three times a week – on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday – from Cape Town to Hoedspruit.

The airline emphasised that ticket prices are subject to availability, as well as timing and other booking factors.
However, the base fare of R1 570 positions the route as one of the most competitively priced options for domestic travel to and from Limpopo.
“Flight demand increases during school holidays and peak safari season, so be sure to plan ahead,” said FlySafair.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Maruleng Local Municipality, Tsheko Musolwa, has welcomed the announcement by FlySafair.
Musolwa hailed the development as a significant boost for the tourism sector in Maruleng. He emphasized the growing appeal of Hoedspruit as a key destination for both domestic and international travellers.
“I welcome this announcement from FlySafair, which aligns with our long-standing call for East gate Airport to be granted an international licence,” said Musolwa.
