Limpopo musician and Lekompo artist Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, will remain behind bars after his bail hearing was postponed to Thursday, 27 November 2025. He has appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on 19 October 2025 in Ladanna, Polokwane. According to allegations presented in court, the musician confronted a motorist during a heated altercation and fired several shots at both the driver and his vehicle. No fatalities were reported, but the incident has sparked widespread public interest and debate.
Prosecutors confirmed that the case falls under Schedule 6, the most serious category of offences, which places a heavier burden on the accused to prove why they should be granted bail.

The court postponed the hearing to allow Shebeshxt and his legal representative more time to consult, particularly in light of the additional six charges recently added to the case.
