Limpopo pastor appears in court for attempted murder
A pastor of His Present Gospel Ministry, Makgabo Walter Mashalane (47) and his seven congregants at Mokhurumela Village, Limpopo are set to appear in court for amongst others attempted murder.
Mashalane and seven other congregants will make an appearance at the Senwabarwana Magistrates Court, Capricorn District on Friday.
They are facing multiple charges, including public violence, robbery, kidnapping, assault, attempted murder, malicious injury to property and pointing of a firearm

It is alleged that on 16 April 2017 at Mokhurumela Village, Ga Mmaleboho, the accused and his fellow congregants attacked the community members who were drinking at the nearby tavern. This is after they were allegedly making noise while the church service was in session.

The pastor further kidnapped the complainants to the church and robbed them of their belongings. The matter was provisionally withdrawn against the accused, and it is now reinstated after thorough investigations.
The other accused are Thabang Evidence Mokgowa (30), Moloko Maitja (40), Shadrack Mashalane (32), Matome David Machaba (27), Judas Mashalane (36), Solomon Matlakala Raphala (41) and Serole maitja (27).
The matter will be in court on Friday to provide the accused persons with High Court date.
