MEC Mahoai tables 2026/27 Limpopo Provincial budget
The MEC for Finance in Limpopo, Kgabo Mahoai, tabled the 2026/27 Provincial Budget at the Limpopo Legislature in Lebowakgomo on Tuesday.
The budget speech is meant to outline the provincial government’s spending priorities and funding allocations aimed at strengthening service delivery, stimulating economic growth, and advancing social development across Limpopo.

The 2026/27 total budget allocation amounts to R95.856 billion allocated to departments as follows:
Department of Education – R45.821 billion [47.8 percent]
Health – R28.684 billion [29.9 percent]
Department of Social Development – R2.476 billion [2.6 percent]
Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure – R6.474 billion [6.8 percent]
Transport and Community Safety – R3.187 billion [3.3 percent]
Agriculture and Rural Development – R1.998 billion [2.1 percent]
Economic Development, Environment and Tourism – R1.814 billion [1.9 percent]
Sport, Arts and Culture – R852.902 million [0.9 percent]
Cooperative Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs – R2.583 billion [2.7 percent]
Office of the Premier – R653.531 million [0.7 percent]
Limpopo Provincial Treasury – R557.930 million [0.5 percent]
Limpopo Provincial Legislature – R755.469 million [0.8 percent]

“This budget reflects discipline without abandoning development. It protects education and health, drives infrastructure investment, strengthens agriculture and enterprise development and enforces governance reform,” said Mahoai.
“It aligns with the national fiscal consolidation path and embodies the principle articulated by Minister Enoch Godongwana.
“In conclusion, I would like to thank the Premier and the Members of the Executive Council for their leadership and guidance throughout this process,” he added.
