ANC in Limpopo surpasses other provinces in membership growth
The African National Congress (ANC) in Limpopo has announced that it now leads the country in membership numbers, surpassing all other provinces. The party attributes this milestone to its solid track record and an aggressive recruitment campaign.
Provincial Secretary, Musanda Vho-Reuben Madadzhe, made the announcement following the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) meeting held at Franse Mohlala House in Polokwane on Monday.

He revealed that the party now boasts over 100,000 card-carrying members, emphasizing that the ANC is not compromising on integrity in its recruitment process.
“We are not blind to the fact that there are people who want to join the ANC for selfish ulterior motives. That is why we urge branches to be vigilant when processing membership applications,” said Madadzhe during a media briefing on Tuesday.
He further highlighted that the success of the recruitment drive is reflected in the ANC’s strong performance in recent by-elections across the province.

The most recent example was in Ward 37 under the Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality, where the ANC reclaimed the ward with a decisive 71% victory, defeating both the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and the South African Communist Party (SACP), which contested independently.
Madadzhe concluded by stressing the importance of discipline within party ranks. “We will not hesitate to remove members who are not disciplined because the ANC has a responsibility to lead society with ethical leaders,” he said.
