Limpopo grade 3 learner killed by speeding minibus
A 9-year-old learner from Pfuxetani Primary School at Mavalani village in Mopani, Limpopo, was knocked down by a speeding minibus after school on Wednesday.
According to the Department of Education in Limpopo, the incident occurred at a distance of about one hundred metres from the school gate.

The learner was rushed to the local Nkhensani Hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
The Department has dispatched social workers to the school and the family for psycho-social support.

Limpopo Education MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya has pleaded with motorists to be cognisant of learners who use public roads to access schools. MEC Lerule-Ramakhanya has also expressed her saddened by the untimely death of the learner.
