Peter Mokaba Stadium to host two Bafana Bafana matches
The Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane will host two upcoming Bafana Bafana international friendly matches. This was confirmed by head coach Hugo Broos upon the team’s arrival in Polokwane, Limpopo, on Monday afternoon.
South Africa will play Tanzania on Friday, 6 June, before hosting Mozambique on Tuesday, 10 June at the same venue.

Bafana Bafana was scheduled to play their second friendly against Mozambique at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. Broos has since revealed why Polokwane will host both Bafana Bafana matches at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
“I was very pleased that we could play our two games here [at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium],” Broos told Journalists.

“This way, we don’t have to move, because initially, we were going to play our first game here on Friday and then go back to Johannesburg to play at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday.”
“I’m very happy with the location here [in Polokwane] because it has a great pitch and it’s a nice stadium, and there will be a crowd. Let’s hope it will be a full house because it is also good for the players to make a good performance.”
