Two more suspects arrested for looting washing powder in Limpopo
Police in Limpopo have arrested two more suspects’ relation to the looting of washing powder from a cargo truck along R101 in Modimolle.
The two individuals, who are members of the public, were arrested at their residence in the Phagameng location on Friday.

They join the three other SAPS employees in Modimolle who were also arrested for the theft of washing powder.
Warrant Officer Frans Ndlovu [55] and Warrant Officer Lesiba Boya [49] were granted bail of R3000 each.
Meanwhile, Cleaner Lucas Moima [50] was granted R5000 bail. They will appear again on 02 October 2025 for further Police investigation.

The total number of arrested suspects is five. The two recently arrested suspects will appear before the local Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 28 July.
According to information, a delivery truck carrying pallets of washing powder lost control along the R101 road near Modimolle.
During the chaos that followed, the two police officers allegedly looted the split cargo using a marked SAPS vehicle, while the general cleaner was later also linked to the crime.
A joint investigation by the Limpopo Provincial Anti-Corruption Unit and Modimolle LCRC led to their arrest and recovery of some of the stolen goods.
