Family of Lekompo star Kaycherlow issues a statement

The family of rising Lekompo star Kaycherlow, real name Lehlogonolo Khwinana, has released a formal statement following the artist’s involvement in a motor vehicle accident in the early hours of Sunday morning, 07 December 2025.

The incident occurred around 3am in Mathibela, Zebediela in Limpopo, as Kaycherlow and his team were travelling to their final performance of the night at Ga-Stan.

According to the family statement, all three occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital, where they are currently under medical observation.

While the accident damaged the vehicle significantly, the family confirmed that Kaycherlow is stable and expected to recover.

The family expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming messages of support, prayers and well-wishes received since news of the crash broke. They also extended special thanks to fellow artists, DJs, close friends and Kaycherlow’s team, who have stood by him during this difficult period.

Event organizers and stakeholders who have booked Kaycherlow for festive-season performances are requested to privately contact his assistant, Shezzl, at 072 705 0673 for further updates regarding scheduled events.

The family has also appealed to the public and media to respect Kaycherlow’s privacy and allow him the time and space he needs to fully recover.
