Ponani Makhubele joins ActionSA in Limpopo
ActionSA has strengthened its political footprint in Limpopo following the announcement of former ANC and MKP member, Ponani Makhubele, as one of its newest recruits. Makhubele, a former Member of Parliament, was officially introduced during a media briefing held at the Royal Hotel in Polokwane on Tuesday.
She joins the party alongside five other new members, marking what ActionSA describes as a significant step toward expanding its provincial structures.

The group was formally welcomed by ActionSA Deputy President, Dr Mbahare Kekana, who emphasized the importance of discipline and adherence to the party’s constitution.
Makhubele’s political journey has been marked by multiple shifts. After serving in the ANC, she joined the Umkhonto we Sizwe Party (MKP) before returning to the ruling party. She has now left the ANC once again, citing internal tensions and what she describes as an environment lacking forgiveness.
“When asked why she left the ANC, Makhubele said the ANC has failed to forgive her for her previous sins. ‘I want to tell you that the ANC does not forgive, and they will treat you like an opposition within, hence I could not take it anymore,’” she said.

In addition to Makhubele, ActionSA also confirmed the recruitment of several prominent political figures, including Thomas Madzhie, the former Regional Secretary of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Vhembe.
Dr Kekana urged the new members to uphold the values of ActionSA, stressing that longevity in the organisation requires respect for its principles, policies, and constitution.
