Limpopo pastor arrested for raping a woman seeking spiritual help
A 39-year-old Limpopo pastor has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman who sought his assistance in finding employment at Sickline bushes in Mankweng.
The pastor, who allegedly claimed to help people through spiritual practices, reportedly took the victim to a nearby mountain under the pretext of conducting prayers and rituals.

According to Limpopo police, the 40-year-old woman approached the suspect seeking assistance in finding employment.
Upon arriving at the mountain, the suspect allegedly instructed the victim to kneel down for prayers before suddenly pushing her to the ground and raping her.
It is further alleged that the suspect threatened to kill the victim if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

The victim later discovered that she was pregnant and subsequently gave birth to a baby. Police said further investigations will be conducted to determine whether the suspect is the father of the child.
Following investigations, the suspect was arrested at Sickline village in the Mankweng policing area on Thursday, 14 May 2026.
He is expected to appear before the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of rape.
