Limpopo Woman [28] kidnapped, gang raped for three days
A 28-year-old woman was allegedly abducted, robbed and repeatedly gang raped for three days before being released near Lebowakgomo Hospital, Limpopo, on Monday, 27 April 2026.
It is alleged that on Friday, 24 April 2026, at about 14:40, the victim hitchhiked in a white Toyota Avanza from Polokwane to visit her boyfriend in Thokgoaneng village. Inside the motor vehicle were four unknown males and one female.
While travelling near Smelters mine, one of the occupants allegedly placed a cloth over the victim’s mouth and nose, causing her to feel weak and dizzy.

The motor vehicle then turned onto a gravel road, and she was taken to a room on a farm.
While at the location, the victim was repeatedly raped by two male suspects. During the incident, one of the suspects allegedly pointed a firearm and robbed her of her cellphone and cash. The victim was left with one male suspect, who continued to rape her the whole night.
On Saturday, 25 April 2026, three male suspects returned to the room and raped her again. She was held captive until Monday, 27 April 2026, at about 10:30, when the suspects placed her in the boot of the vehicle and drove towards Chuenespoort.

She was later moved to the passenger seat before being dropped off near the hawkers close to Lebowakgomo hospital.
The victim sought medical treatment at the medical facility and subsequently reported the matter to the police. Cases of kidnapping, four counts of rape and armed robbery have been opened for investigation. A manhunt of the suspects is currently underway.
