Judgement in Shebeshxt bail application reserved for Thursday
The Polokwane Magistrates Court, Limpopo, has reserved judgment on the Shebeshxt bail application for Thursday, 30 April 2026 at 10:00.
Lekompo artist Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke appeared before the Polokwane Magistrates Court for the continuation of his bail application hearing on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.

The matter was previously postponed to allow the State to submit its closing arguments, with the court possibly delivering judgment.
The state is opposing bail and presented its arguments, citing that there are no exceptional circumstances to have the 31-year-old Lekompo musician released.
On the other hand, Shebeshxt and the defence team presented “new facts” with the main fact being the need to get medication attention, specifically an urgent operation on his right leg known as Open Reduction Internal Fixation [ORIF].

With both counsels having presented their arguments and called on credible witnesses, Magistrate Thivhaisali Godfrey Netshiozwi reserved judgment for Thursday while the musician remains in court.
“Both the defence counsel and the State have completed their address in this matter,” said Magistrate Netshiozwi.
“The court must prepare a judgment which will then be read into the record in completion of this application.
“For that purpose, this case has to be postponed to a further date and we have agreed that this date should be postponed to 30 April 2026. The judgement will be given at 10:00 in the morning, and you will be in custody.”
