One of the triplets born at the Letaba Hospital has passed on
One of the triplets who were born earlier this week at Letaba Hospital in the Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Limpopo has sadly passed on. The baby boy passed away on Friday while receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

He reportedly had been battling severe breathing complications and was placed on mechanical ventilation in an effort to stabilise his condition. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he did not survive.
The Limpopo MEC for Health, Dieketseng Mashego, has expressed deep sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving family, describing the loss as “an unimaginable pain.”
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of this young life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time,” she said.

The MEC also commended healthcare workers at Letaba Hospital for their dedication and efforts in caring for the newborn under challenging circumstances.
The Limpopo Department of Health said it will continue to support the family during their time of mourning.
