Limpopo man arrested for raping four minors in one day
A 54-year-old man has been arrested for an alleged rape incident four children aged between 7 and 9 in a space of two hours at Manoge village, Seleteng in Limpopo on Thursday, 16 April 2026.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the four children were playing together when they decided to go and visit the suspect’s place, just a few houses away.

Upon their arrival, the suspect allegedly took the first two children inside the house and raped them. Afterward, he released them. The other two victims were also instructed to get inside the house and were allegedly also raped.
After his deeds, he allegedly threatened the victims not to inform their parents about what happened.
Their grandmother of one of the victims noticed a strange behavior and asked them what happened. That was when she was informed about the ordeal. The victim’s mothers were notified about the ordeal and immediately reported the matter to the police.

The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit FCS took over the investigation and expedited the process until the suspect was apprehended. He will appear before Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s court on Monday, 20 April 2026, on four counts of rape.
Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe welcomed the arrest. She urged parents and guardians to safeguard their children at all times.
“It is disturbing to learn that people who are supposed to be entrusted with protecting and looking after the children, some tend to be perpetrators and we will stop at nothing to make sure such people face the full might of the law,” said General Hadebe.
