Three Limpopo learners arrested after school bullying incident
Limpopo Police have arrested three learners, following a bullying incident at Ralson Tshinanne Secondary School in Ngovhela, Vhembe District, in which a victim tried to commit suicide.
According to police, the arrests come after a victim was allegedly subjected to ongoing bullying and assault by the suspects.

The situation escalated in the early hours of Thursday, 16 April 2026, when the victim attempted to take his own life at home. He was rescued by his parents, who then opened a case of common assault at Thohoyandou SAPS.
The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit acted swiftly, leading to the arrest of three suspects aged between 17 and 21 from different schools.

Limpopo Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has welcomed the arrests and urged parents, guardians, and communities to work closely with authorities to instil discipline and curb bullying in schools.
The suspects are expected to appear soon before the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on charges of common assault. Police investigations are ongoing.
