Limpopo pastor appears in court on charges of rape of minor girls
A 54-year-old pastor from Mareis village, Capricorn District in Limpopo made an appearance at the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Monday in connection with allegations of sexually abusing minor girls.
It is alleged that between 2023 and 2024, a 14-year-old girl, who visited his homestead as a member of his church, was repeatedly touched inappropriately in Seshego.

The matter came to light after she reported it to her family. He was arrested on 15 February 2026, and his bail hearing is currently underway.
In a separate matter in Senwabarwana, it is alleged that between 2019 and 2022, the accused would lure the minor girls to his place on different dates, under the pretence that they would be assisting his wife and child.

However, he would rape them and threaten to kill their parents if they reported the matter. The victims eventually reported the matter to their families, and it led to the arrest of the accused around December 2025.
The accused has appeared in court, and his matter was postponed to 17 April 2026 for a bail application.
The pastor cannot be named at this stage to protect the identities of the minor victims.
