Modimolle-Mookgophong Mayor Mboweni hands over yellow fleet
The Mayor of Modimolle-Mookgophong Local Municipality, Limpopo, Anna Mboweni on Thursday, 9 April officially handed over a new yellow fleet of service delivery vehicles.
The developments are seen as a significant step toward improving municipal operations and service delivery to residents.
The Yellow Fleet, which includes motor grader, smooth drum roller and a tractor is expected to strengthen the municipality’s capacity to respond more efficiently to community needs.

Motor Grader and Smooth drum roller will be utilised in the regravelling of roads. Tractor will be mainly used for grass cutting especially in our cemeteries, public open spaces and also in parks.

When handing over the new yellow fleet to both the technical and social departments, Mayor Mboweni said this investment underscores the municipality’s commitment to build a responsive, capable, and well-resourced local government.

She also emphasised that the fleet will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of essential services such as infrastructure maintenance, and emergency response.
“This fleet represents more than just vehicles—it is a commitment to our residents that we are serious about improving the quality and reliability of basic services,” said Mayor Mboweni.
“We are equipping our teams with the tools they need to serve our communities with dignity and efficiency.”
Mayor Mboweni was accompanied by Speaker Sinah Langa, Chief whip Mokgadi Dayimani and other councillors when handing over the yellow fleet to municipal senior officials including the Director of Technical and Social Department respectively.
