Magwedzha clinic temporarily closes for repair
The Department of Health in Limpopo, has announced the temporary closure of Magwedzha Clinic in Thohoyandou to allow for urgent repairs to its water supply and sewerage system.
The clinic will be closed from Thursday, 26 February 2026, for approximately two weeks.

During this period, appointed contractors will be on site to carry out essential maintenance aimed at restoring proper functionality to the facility’s infrastructure.
According to the department, the temporary closure is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of patients, staff and the broader community. The repairs are expected to improve hygiene standards and ensure the clinic can continue to operate effectively in the long term.
Community members who normally access services at Magwedzha Clinic are advised to visit nearby health facilities for medical assistance.

Patients collecting chronic medication parcels are requested to collect their medication from Thohoyandou Health Centre for the duration of the closure.
The department apologised for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their understanding and cooperation.
