Venue change for Banyana Banyana COSAFA Cup opener
The opening match of Banyana Banyana at the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women’s Championship has been moved from Seshego Stadium to the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
South Africa will face the Malawi Women’s National Football Team on Wednesday, 18 February, in their Group A opener.

The venue adjustment also affects the tournament’s first three days, with all scheduled Seshego fixtures temporarily relocated to the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Despite the change, supporters in Seshego will still experience the tournament when matches return to the township venue on Saturday. The competition’s decisive stages, including the semi-finals, third-place play-off and final, will take place at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Eleven nations are competing for regional honours. Group A action begins with Lesotho facing Angola before hosts South Africa meet Malawi. Group B and C fixtures follow across subsequent days.
The top teams from each pool, along with the best runner-up, will progress to the semi-finals as the championship intensifies.
The knockout phase begins on Friday, February 27 at New Peter Mokaba Stadium. The semi-finals see the winner of Group B face the winner of Group C at 12h00, before the winner of Group A meets the best runner-up at 15h00, unless the latter is also from Group A.
