Step-father arrested for raping a 15-year-old girl

A 43-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, 14 February 2026, following a report of rape of a 15-year-old girl in Rebone Village RDP section 2, in Mogalakwena Local Municipality, Limpopo.

According to the police in Limpopo, the victim informed her mother that her stepfather raped her several times since 27 December 2025, again on 31 January 2026. It is alleged that the victim’s mother was scared to report her husband to the police.

The rape ordeal was reported to one of the relatives of the victim, who immediately reported the matter to the police.

A case of rape was registered. The investigation and tracing kick-started, leading to the apprehension of the alleged stepfather at his place in Rebone RDP section 2 in the early hours of Saturday, 14 February 2026.

The stepfather will appear before the Gilead periodical court on Monday, 16 February 2026, facing a charge of rape.
