Two trucks stolen at Modimolle construction site
Two trucks worth R3-million were stolen during the armed robbery incident that took place at a construction site in Phomolong Extension 11, Modimolle in Limpopo.
The incident occurred at Baphalaborwa 72 construction site in Phomolong Extension 11 on Saturday, 24 January 2026.

According to information, three suspects arrived at the construction site armed with a firearm and pointed it at the complainant.
The suspects allegedly forced the complainant into one of the mobile containers on site, tied his hands and feet, and locked him inside before leaving with the trucks.

Modimolle-Mookgophong Local Municipality Mayor Anna Mboweni has condemned the incident and expressed concern on the danger posed by the construction mafia to critical projects.
She says hooliganism at the construction site disrupts development and progress in municipal projects and has called on residents to assist police to ensure that the culprits are arrested.
