According to police, the first incident occurred on 24 October 2022, when a 17-year-old girl was walking to school, and silver Volkswagen Polo with an unknown registration allegedly stopped in front of her. The motor vehicle was allegedly driven by the male suspect.
She was reportedly threatened by a firearm, and forced to get into the vehicle. It is further alleged that she was driven to a bushy area in Ga-Mathipa village and ordered her to undress upon arrival, and later dropped off at a main road, where she received help and reported the matter to police through her grandmother.
