A 42-year-old radio presenter from Moutse Community Radio Station (MCRS) is expected to appear before the Moutse Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 8 January 2026, for a bail application after being charged with the alleged rape of a colleague, who is also his ex-girlfriend.
The incident allegedly took place on Friday, 26 December 2025, at around 22:45 at an RDP house in Walkaal, Limpopo. Police said the 39-year-old woman, also a presenter at the same community radio station, reported that she was raped after returning from work to collect her belongings.

In an official statement, MCRS explained how sad and outrage they are by the incident. “We are deeply saddened and outraged by the recent incident of alleged sexual assault involving two of our employees.” The station added that even when the incident allegedly occurred outside its premises, it has reputational implications for the station.
