A traditional healer fatally shot in Limpopo

A 67-year-old male traditional healer was fatally shot while at his homestead in Worcester village, Mopani District in Limpopo on Sunday, 21 December 2025 at around 17:00. 

The traditional healer was found lying on the veranda having gunshot wounds by his grandson.

Preliminary investigation led to the recovery of a 9mm cartridge on the crime scene which will form part of investigations.

The deceased was identified as Michel Maanaso, known as a traditional healer.

The suspects are still unknown at this stage but the investigation continues. 

The motive behind the fatal shooting is currently unknown.
