Meida Ramuhala found murdered at her residence
Limpopo woman Meida Ramuhala was found murdered at her home in Ha-Mudimeli Village in Vhembe District on Sunday.
Ramuhala was widely known for overcoming a mandibular odontogenic tumour, medically referred to as ameloblastoma.

She developed the tumour on her chin in 1999 and underwent a life-changing surgical procedure in 2021, a journey that inspired many across the province and beyond.
According to a preliminary police report, Ramuhala was found lying in her yard with visible bruises to her head and face. A 59-year-old male suspect has since been taken in for questioning as investigations continue.
Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has conveyed her condolences to the Ramuhala family, relatives, and the Ha-Mudimeli Village community.

“We are deeply saddened by this brutal and heartless act committed against Ms Ramuhala during a time when families should be coming together to celebrate life,” said Dr Ramathuba.
“Instead, someone chose violence and cruelty, robbing a mother and daughter of their future. We call on law-enforcement agencies to act with speed and diligence to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to book and faces the full might of the law,” said Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba.
