Deputy Minister Boshielo to lead Safer Festive Season Operations
Deputy Minister of Police, Dr Polly Boshielo, is set to lead a high-level inspection of Safer Festive Season Operations in Mankweng, Capricorn District in Limpopo, on Monday, 15 December 2025, as part of government’s intensified drive to combat crime during the holiday period.
The visit forms part of the South African Police Service’s (SAPS) nationwide Safer Festive Season campaign, aimed at increasing police visibility, strengthening law enforcement capacity, and ensuring the safety of communities as the country approaches the 2026 New Year.

Dr Boshielo will be accompanied by senior SAPS leadership, including Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.
The delegation will assess the operational readiness of police units deployed across the province, focusing on crime-prevention strategies, road safety operations, and coordinated responses to priority crimes commonly associated with the festive season.
Joining the delegation will be Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Ms Violet Mathye, alongside local leadership. Engagements with police officers on the ground and community members are expected to form part of the multi-phase operational tour.
