Stolen Jeep Gladiator found abandoned on the N1 in Limpopo
A white Jeep Gladiator that was reported stolen in Polokwane, Limpopo, on Sunday, 30 November 2025, has been recovered after being found abandoned along the N1 Highway near the Polokwane weighbridge
The discovery was made during a routine patrol conducted by members of the Mahwelereng Flying Squad, who were carrying out visible policing operations along the busy route.

According to authorities, officers received an alert shortly after the vehicle theft was reported. They immediately followed up on the information and traced the signal to the N1, where the Jeep was found unattended. No suspects were found at the scene, and the circumstances surrounding why the vehicle was abandoned remain unclear.
The recovered Jeep Gladiator was subsequently transported to Mokopane SAPS for further forensic processing and investigation. Police are now working to determine who was responsible for the theft and whether the vehicle was intended to be moved across provincial or national borders, as similar cases have recently been reported in the province.

The suspect behind the theft remains unknown at this stage. Police have urged anyone with information that may assist in identifying or locating the suspect to come forward by contacting the SAPS Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or by submitting anonymous tips through the MySAPS App.
