Wife, boyfriend & hitman arrested for husband’s murder in Lulekani

Police in Limpopo have arrested a 41-year-old woman, her alleged boyfriend [45] and a hitman [52] in connection with the murder of her husband [54] at Kurhula Village, Lulekani.

The incident occurred on Sunday, 16 November 2025, at approximately 04:15. According to reports, the soldier was fatally shot while on his way to work.

Following the murder, police commenced with an investigation, pulling resources together to get to the bottom of the matter.

On Tuesday, 18 November 2025, the hardworking Detectives gathered information indicating that the deceased and his wife had been experiencing domestic-related problems.

Further investigation revealed that, as a result, the wife and her alleged boyfriend conspired to murder the man and immediately enlisted the services of a hitman to carry out the plan.

The first suspect was arrested on Sunday, 16 November, in Mandela Village, Namakgale, and was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The same firearm is believed to have been used in the commission of the crime.

On Tuesday, 18 November, the remaining two suspects, the wife of the deceased and a man alleged to be her boyfriend, were arrested in Matikoxikaya, Lulekani.

All three suspects are expected to appear before the Lulekani Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 21 November, facing charges of murder.
