Monareng left Musina Mall on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, at 08:30. He is calling on the public to come show support as he begins his challenge.
He aims to reach Cape Town in January 2026, after which he will rest for a week before cycling all the way back to Musina, aiming to finish his mission.

Over the weekend, Monareng passed through the City of Polokwane heading towards the South.
“I choose the wheelbarrow because I want this challenge,” he said as he took some rest in the City.
“I want to test my mentality on this journey. It’s not the first time to do this. I am the first man in Africa to run with a wheelbarrow.
“The most important thing is that I want to be the ambassador of this country to show everyday children that everything is possible. As long as you can follow your dream, you can do it. That’s why I told myself that I want to be a role model for children.”
