Planned water supply shutdown notice in Polokwane
Water supply to several areas within the Polokwane Municipality, Limpopo, will be affected due to a 48-hour planned shutdown at the Ebenezer Water Scheme.
The shutdown, scheduled for 6–7 November 2025, forms part of Phase 3 connection and commissioning works being undertaken by Lepelle Northern Water.

The interruption will affect areas supplied through the Ebenezer Scheme, from Segwashi and Mankweng [including Mankweng Hospital and the University of Limpopo] to the City of Polokwane.
Meanwhile, another planned shutdown at the Olifantspoort Water Treatment Plant is scheduled for next week and early December.

It is planned for 12-13 November 2025 [48 hours], 20-21 November 2025 [24 hours] and 3-4 December 2025 [48 hours].
The work at Olifantspoort will affect supply from Ga-Chuene to the City and Seshego. Residents are encouraged to store sufficient water in advance for household use during the planned shutdowns.
Mitigation plans are in place, and the Municipality thanks residents for their patience and cooperation.
