Kharishma involved in fatal accident
Limpopo Musician Kharishma, real name Melita Makoma Ribane, suffered severe injuries while one person died following an accident in Polokwane in the early hours of Friday morning.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Grobler and Magazyn Street in Polokwane. The 20-year-old singer was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently receiving comprehensive medical care.

Tragically, the accident claimed the life of one of Kharishma’s friends, who was driving on the day, while the others sustained severe injuries.
Since the accident, the singer has received messages of well-wishes from various people, including MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture Jerry Maseko and Polokwane Executive Mayor John Mpe. The family has also released a statement confirming the accident.
“We sincerely apologize to the public that we are unable to disclose the names of the deceased and injured friends at this stage, pending the completion of formal identification processes and official statements by their respective families,” said Kharishma’s brother, Nthekgeng Mogale.

“Kharishma is currently receiving comprehensive medical care in Polokwane. We would like to assure the public, her fans, and supporters that qualified and dedicated medical professionals are doing everything possible to ensure her recovery and healing.
