Bottles of medication discovered at Limpopo Bus accident scene
Bottles that appear to be medication were found at the bus accident scene along N1 Limpopo, where 43 people from Zimbabwe and Malawi lost their lives.
Although, for now, the lawful owner of the bottles of medication is not yet identified to get the explanation regarding its origin, the police has, in the meantime, opened an inquiry for further investigation.

Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe says she has noted the pictures from the incident.
“Section 22A of the Medicines and Related Substances act in S.A makes a crime to possess certain scheduled medicines without authorisation,” said Lieutenant Hadebe in a statement.

“Legally, someone is only permitted to possess and carry the quantity of medicine you have been prescribed by an authorised prescriber. Carrying a large quantity of medicine without exception is illegal.”
The police have also urged anyone or the lawful owner of the medication to contact the nearest police, police toll-free number 08600 10111 or my SAPS app.
