Lifeless body of newborn baby found burnt in Limpopo
A newly born baby estimated to be two weeks old was discovered burnt beyond recognition in the bushes in Mashobohleng village, Moletjie in Limpopo on Friday.
Police in Seshego were called to the scene of a murder in the area at about 15:45. On their arrival, they found a small baby whom a community member had found.

The lifeless body was found burned beyond recognition next to a local school. The motive behind the incident is currently unknown.
Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has vehemently condemned the brutal murder.
“The recent incidents of leaving newly born babies, alive or deceased, are becoming a serious problem in the Province,” she said.

“If you give birth to a child and you realise you don’t need to keep him /her, it’s advisable to approach the Department of Social Development for advice on adoption as the option rather than killing innocent blood,” added Lieutenant Hadebe.
