It is alleged that a dispute broke out after the brothers received information suggesting the victim was romantically linked to the elder brother’s girlfriend.
During the altercation, the elder brother, aged 51, allegedly attacked the victim with an axe, fatally wounding him, and also inflicted serious injuries on the woman.
Paramedics pronounced the male victim dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to the hospital for urgent medical care.
The suspects fled the scene, prompting a police manhunt. The younger brother was later arrested at his residence, where it was also established that he was in the country illegally. The elder brother remains at large, and police have intensified efforts to track him down.
