Maruleng Municipality Mayor Graduates at University of Pretoria

The Mayor of Maruleng Local Municipality, Tsheko Musolwa, has graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management from the University of Pretoria.

The graduation ceremony took place at the Rembrandt Hall, Hillcrest Campus in Hatfield, Pretoria.

Musolwa, who assumed office as Mayor in 2022, reflected on his journey, noting that he balanced a demanding schedule of municipal duties with many hours of study in pursuit of the qualification.

Since taking office, the Mayor has consistently engaged with learners across both primary and secondary schools in Maruleng, encouraging them to prioritise education.

He expressed his belief that his achievement will inspire young people, especially the youth, to view education as a tool for empowerment.

“Education is essential for developing leaders who can inspire the nation to strive for excellence. I encourage all young people to pursue their studies further as a path to self-empowerment,” said Mayor Musolwa.
