ANC Waterberg Region elects its top five leaders
The ANC Waterberg 10th Regional Conference elected its new Top five officials at Sasavona Holiday Retreat, Bela Bela.
ANC Limpopo Provincial Deputy Secretary Basikopo Makamu officially opened the conference, attended by hundreds of ANC Members. ANC National Executive Committee member, Bathabile Dlamini, delivered an input on behalf of the NEC.
There were threats that the conference may not sit following a court interdict by some disgruntled members. But their court bid was dismissed with costs by the Gauteng Division of the High Court in Pretoria.

Waterberg District Executive Mayor, Moloko Jack Maeko, emerged as the winner for the chairperson role with 191 votes against Kgabo Mahoai.
Mayor of Mogalakwena Local Municipality, Ngoako Taueatsoala emerged as the Deputy Chairperson with 192 votes, competing against the Mayor of Lephalale Municipality, Aaron Mokgehle. Rufus Mahoro has been re-elected as the Regional Secretary with 194 votes against Tebogo Legodi.
Andries Lekalakala is the new Deputy Regional Secretary after securing 187 votes against Bela Bela Mayor Gloria Seleka.
Elsie Ndhlovu has emerged as the new Treasurer with 187 votes, emerging victorious against Klaas Mabunda.
