The Premier Soccer League officially confirmed the venue on Wednesday following an official final draw.
Earlier on, there had been reports that the final would return to Durban once again. But in a strong statement issued on Tuesday, the PSL quickly rubbished the reports.
“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) wishes to address and correct false reports circulating in the media regarding the venue for the 2025 MTN8 Final,” the league said.
An article published by the online publication iDiski Times on 26 August 2025, under the headline “MTN8 Final Venue Revealed”, is inaccurate, misleading and irresponsible.
The PSL strongly cautions media outlets against publishing unverified information, as such conduct misleads the public and undermines the integrity of the game.”
