Nurses attacked by criminals at Mogoto Clinic in Limpopo
Five armed intruders broke the palisade fence to gain access into the Mogoto Clinic, Zebediela in Limpopo and attacked nurses taking off with their cellphones. The incident occurred at approximately 01:00 in the morning.
It is alleged that a security officer was threatened with a firearm and forced to the ground. The attackers demanded the security firearm and proceeded to demand cellphones from the nurses on duty.

The attackers fled the scene with four cellphones taken from nurses and one firearm taken from the security personnel.
Security personnel managed to promptly contact their security armed response patrol and the South African Police Service for assistance. No one sustained injuries in the chaos.

Furthermore, the MEC reiterates her call to the community to remain vigilant and support healthcare workers during these challenging times.
