R71 Magoebaskloof Road closed due to Gas truck explosion

Motorists are advised that the R71 Magoebaskloof Road, Limpopo, will be closed until further notice due to a Gas truck explosion.

This follows an incident earlier on Wednesday involving a truck transporting gas cylinders, which resulted in multiple explosions along the route.

“Law enforcement agencies are currently on-site to assess the situation and ensure public safety,” said the Tzaneen Municipality. .

Advice to Road Users: Please avoid using the R71 Magoebaskloof at this time. Road users are also advised to make use of alternative routes until authorities declare the road safe for travel.
