All systems go for the Polokwane ward 13 by-election

The IEC in Limpopo has announced that everything is in place for the By-election taking place on Wednesday, 16 July 2025, in ward 13 of Polokwane Local Municipality.

The ward became vacant as a result of the expulsion of an EFF ward councillor from the council.

The ward is made up of seven Voting Districts in the vicinity of Seshego Zone 1, Juju Valley, Extensions 127,133 and 134 respectively.

The current registration figures in the ward are 11 719 voters. Voting Stations will open at 07:00 and close at 21:00 on Wednesday.

Special voting will take place at the voting stations, as well as through home visits on Tuesday, 15 July 2025, between 08:00 and 17:00.

Voters are also reminded to only vote at the voting station where they are registered. Voters can check their registration and voting station details by SMSing their ID number to 32810 [R1 per SMS].

They also need to bring either their green bar-coded ID, smartcard ID or a valid temporary identification certificate.
