Limpopo man arrested for murder of his wife

A 35-year-old was arrested for the brutal murder of his wife after drinking sorghum beer in Mukovha wa Bale village in Vhembe District, Limpopo, on Thursday.

Reports suggest that members of SAPS Masisi Vispol were busy executing their daily duties when community members alerted them about the couple who were fighting at around 12:00.

On their arrival at the scene, they found a female victim lying in a pool of blood with an open wound on her neck.

The Emergency Medical Services personnel were summoned and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to the preliminary reports, the couple was drinking sorghum beer when the husband allegedly started accusing his wife of infidelity.

The husband went out for a moment and came back, stabbed his wife on her neck with a sharp object. The alleged suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident and was later arrested at his hide out place.

He will appear before Masisi Periodical Court on Friday facing a charge of Murder.
