The stationary bakkie allegedly had no hazard lights or warning triangle to alert oncoming traffic.
The collision caused the bus driver to lose control, swerving into the oncoming lane, where it crashed into the trailer of a truck that had managed to avoid a head-on collision.
“In a split-second attempt to avoid a head-on crash, a truck in the opposite lane managed to steer away—but not before the bus slammed into the trailer it was hauling,” said an eyewitness.
