Strong fire destroys College of Africa
A major fire incident, reportedly caused by a stove, destroyed the entire student accommodation at the College of Africa campus in Mankweng, Limpopo on Sunday.
The fire left many students scrambling for temporary housing. Residents living nearby are strongly advised to avoid the area due to thick smoke and the risk of structural collapse.

Firefighting teams immediately responded and worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control. Video footage from the scene shows walls collapsing and dense smoke billowing across the campus.

The College of Africa is situated opposite the University of Limpopo, north of Polokwane in Limpopo. Their motto is “The Education Hub of Africa” signifying the fusion of all African countries’ academic knowledge with a practical purpose.
