Tete Dijana wins third comrades marathon

Tete Dijana won his third Comrades Marathon title in 5:25:28 in a tense finish in Durban on Sunday. The man from the North West beat defending champion Piet Wiersma. 

Wiersma crossed the line [5:25:34] while Nikolai Volkov was third in 5:29:40. Meanwhile, Gerda Steyn won her fourth Comrades Marathon title on Sunday.

Tete Dijana won his other two Comrades Marathon titles in 2022 and 2023.
