Basikopo Makamu appointed acting Limpopo Premier

MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Basikopo Makamu, was sworn in as acting Premier of Limpopo on 06 June 2025.

He will serve as acting premier from 09 to 15 June 2025, while Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba attends the 16th International Infrastructure Forum in China.

The 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum & Exhibition [IIICF] will be held in Macao, China, from June 10-12.

The forum, also known as the 16th IIICF, is an international platform for investment and infrastructure construction. It is jointly organized by the China International Contractors Association and the Macao Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute.

The forum focuses on “Enhanced Connectivity for Win-Win Cooperation”. It will feature knowledge exchange, exhibitions, report releases, and business promotion.

The IIICF has facilitated over 220 cooperation projects since its inception, covering various sectors like transportation, housing, and energy. The 16th edition will be larger, expanding to 8,000 square meters.
