14 farm workers injured in Tafelkop accident
A half truck carrying 16 farm workers overturned while en route to nearby farms in Tafelkop, Limpopo on Monday morning. 14 people, including the driver, are reported to be injured.
The injured were taken to Groblersdal Hospital and Tafelkop Clinic for medical attention.

Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
Limpopo MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Nakedi Kekana, has expressed concern over the incident.
She commended the swift response of the private, provincial and Sekhukhune District emergency services for attending to the farm workers in Tafelkop.
“We wish the injured a speedy and full recovery. Our prayers are with those who are recovering from injuries sustained in the accident,” said Kekana.

“Farm workers are the backbone of our agricultural economic growth, therefore, as a Department that works closely with farmers and labourers, their safety, dignity and their well-being are of paramount importance to us.
“We are deeply concerned when such incidents occur. We applaud the dedication and rapid intervention of our emergency teams,” said MEC Kekana.
The Executive Mayor of Sekhukhune District Municipality, Minah Bahula, has also extended sympathies to all affected.
While she also commended the swift response by emergency personnel and reaffirmed the Municipality’s, she cautioned motorists to be cautious all the time. “Our prayers are with the injured and their families. We wish them a full recovery,” she said.
