Morgan Mohlala pledges to finish Gauta BMX parents’ house

Burgersfort business tycoon Morgan Mohlala has pledged to complete the house of Gauta ‘BMX’ Mahlakwane’s parents in Ga-Mathabathe Makgoba, Limpopo.

This commitment was confirmed during Mohlala’s visit to the Mahlakwane homestead on Friday. He announced that his soon-to-be-launched foundation would take on the project.

Gauta Mahlakwane, alongside Karabo Makoo and Maxwell Ndou, was part of a brave trio of young cyclists who took on an extraordinary journey from Burgersfort to Cape Town, covering over 1,700 kilometres.

The mission was to raise funds and secure sponsorships for a bike club to keep young men active, engaged, and away from drugs and gangsterism.

Meanwhile, Mohlala is set to officially launch his foundation in Polokwane on Friday, 9 May, at Meropa Casino.

Some of the artists expected to perform at the event include Winnie Mashaba, Papa Penny. Dr Malinga, King Monada, Kharishma, Pleasure Tsa Manyalo, Shandesh, Shebe Shxt. Nkosazana Daughter and others. Tickets for the event start at R500.

Their journey, which took about 13 days, garnered national attention. It was celebrated for its endurance and the boys’ determination to make a positive impact.
